Louise H. Magruder

Louise H. Magruder, age 78, of Skiatook went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Tulsa. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Louise was born April 29, 1942 in Portland, Oregon to John C. and Elanor (Hayes) Staats. She grew up and received her education in Portland, Oregon and Grand Rapids, Michigan where she graduated in 1960. Louise also attended Western Michigan University where she graduated in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in education. On July 6, 1968 she married the love of her life Donald E. Magruder in Grand Rapids, Michigan making their home in Denver and Glenwood Springs, Colorado and moved to Skiatook in 1982 where they continued to make their home. Louise was a schoolteacher in Silt, Colorado and Skiatook Public Schools where she was a 3rd grade teacher and retired in 2007. Louise was a World Champion in Buck Board Driving in The Appaloosa Horse Club. Louise was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Skiatook. Louise will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Louise was preceded in death by her mother and father and by her son: Cody R. Magruder.

Louise is survived by her husband: Don of the home, one son: Jeb Magruder, one brother: Louis Staats, four grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
