Funeral services for Lois Irene Carter will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Skiatook United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Whitley, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Lois Irene Carter, age 73, of Skiatook, died at 1:25 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Post Acute Specialty Hospital Of Tulsa.

Lois was born February 2, 1941 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to James Marshall and Dixie Mae (Forrest) Daley. Lois grew up and received her education in Nowata. Lois married Wilbert Lee “Webb” Carter on August 19, 1961 in Arkansas. Lois was a homemaker. Lois liked playing Farmville on the computer, cooking, collecting beanie babies, dolls and doing genealogy. Lois was past president of West Oak Residence Association.

Lois was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Webb, two brothers; Timothy James Daley and Johnnie Lee Daley, two sisters; Juanita Blundell and Ruthie Daley.

Lois is survived by her two daughters; Dixie Carter and husband Curtis Breckon of Skiatook and Melissa Carter of Sherman, Texas, seven grandchildren; Brooke Carter, Blake Basore, Sierra Carter, James Breckon, Audrey Breckon, Allison Breckon and Joseph Breckon, three great grandchildren; Makayla Knoche, Hunter Knoche and Michael James Basore, two step-grandchildren; Katrina Rameriz and Karissa Shuford, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Casket escorts for the services are; Curtis Breckon, James Breckon, Jake Carter, Denton Collier, Billy Basore and Bobby Rosser.

Music for the services are; “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “I’ll Fly Away”. Music for the services will be performed by Robin Edens and Tracy Rosser.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
