Lisa Ann (McKinney) Boykin
Lisa Ann (McKinney) Boykin, age 54 of Skiatook, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, July 21, 2023 at her residence in Skiatook.
Lisa was born November 2, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to David and Odessa (Teehee) McKinney. She grew up and received her education in Mexia, Texas. Lisa was married to William Paul Boykin and they were soulmates and best friends since 1992. She was employed as an office manager for Taylor Automotive. Lisa was an aspiring quilter, mother figure to many, and loved her dogs, and spending time with her grandson.
Lisa was preceded in death by her mother and father: Odessa and David, and sister: Allison Lloyd.
Lisa is survived by her husband: Paul children: Rebecca Roberts, Jeffery Roberts, Daniel Boykin, Heather Boykin, sister: Leighann Aynes, grandchildren: Alexandrea, Mario, Amaya, Theo, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Lisa embodied love, patience, and loyalty. She showed her love for others by generously giving gifts and bringing food to family gatherings, as she could never show up empty-handed. Gift after gift, box after box, there was never a niece, nephew, or party that went without. No matter the occasion she would walk through the door and immediately light up the room with her smile. Lisa’s smile came from her soul. The most beautiful bright and full of joy soul, anyone has ever met. This joy, loving heart and acceptance she showed was extended to everyone she encountered. Her kindness, understanding, and encouragement is a true lesson for us all to live by.
Lisa's devotion to those closest to her truly demonstrated her love. She truly loved no one more than her husband, children, and grandchildren. From the moment they met in 1992, Lisa knew that Paul was her forever. They were best friends and soul mates and this was apparent by the time they spent together on any given day, as one could often see them together on their daily lunch breaks. When Lisa became a mother to Daniel and Heather, she gained one of her most rewarding and favorite titles. Her goal as a mother was to teach her children how to be happy, strong, and family oriented while showing love and compassion to others. Her success as a parent is evident in Heather and Daniel’s daily lives. When Lisa became a grandmother to her grandson Theo, she gained a new overwhelming love that only a grandchild can give. Theo was born last December and from the moment she knew her daughter-in-law and son were having a baby, she started shopping. Theo will continue to be shown the same love, support, and acceptance that his "Gigi" would have given him. Lisa built and cherished her family, with all she was, and her beautiful bright and joyous soul, will be with us forever.
