Linda Joyce (Okerson) Wood, age 82 of Skiatook, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 1, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Linda was born July 21, 1940, in Avant, Oklahoma to John L. Okerson and Ruth (Brantley) Okerson. She grew up and received her education in Avant and graduated from Avant High School in 1958.On May 23, 1958 Linda married Albert DeWayne Wood in Tulsa and made their home in Tennessee for 10 months before moving to Avant. She was employed for 12 years as a cook at Avant schools. She was a member of Avant Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, and flowers. Linda was known to many as Grandma Linda and to her family as Grinda.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband: Albert, mother and father: John and Ruth, brother: George Okerson, sisters: Barbara Burns, Sharon Wood, and great-grandson Pasquale Rossino.

Linda is survived by her children: Sherry Garrison and husband Randy, Kim Casillas and husband Steve, Pauline Wiese and husband David, Lee Ann Rhodes and husband Tommy, Waynie Wood and wife Jennifer, brother Don Okerson, and twenty-one grandchildren, fifty-two great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Linda Wood entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
