Lillie T. Standridge
Funeral services for Lillie T. Standridge will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Standridge, officiating. Interment will follow in the Coalgate Cemetery in Coalgate, Oklahoma under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Lillie T. Standridge, age 98, of Skiatook, died at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Walnut Grove Nursing Home in McAlester.
Lillie was born October 20, 1915 in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Theodore Lee and Minnie Frances (Karr) Crabtree. Lillie grew up and received her education in Coalgate. Lillie married James H. Standridge III and made their home in Coalgate where they raised their three children. Lillie moved to Skiatook in 2001 so she could be close to her son. Lillie was a homemaker of the home. Lillie’s life was based on her family and church.
Lillie was preceded in death by her mother and father Minnie and Theodore Crabtree, four sisters; Mary Éclair, Neva Smith, Gladys Phipps and Laura Gee.
Lillie is survived by her three children; Dr. Jim Standridge and wife Connie of Skiatook, Charlene Tate and husband Will of Tulsa and Chi Chi Pierce - Pettit and husband Rich of McAlester, one sister; Ruth Murpree of Pitsburgh, California, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services; “Amazing Grace”, performed by Hailey Pierce and a melody of songs performed by Charles and Margret Carver.
Casket escorts for the services are; Jeff Standridge, John Standridge, Michael Pierce, Rich Pettit, Colton Standridge, Scott Hailey and Austin Stevens.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
