Lillian Ermalee Wallar
Funeral services for Lillian Ermalee Wallar will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015, at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, August 10th, at the Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence, Missouri, under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Lillian Ermalee Wallar, age 87, of Skiatook, died at 10:05 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2015, at The Highlands of Owasso.
Lillian was born March 3, 1928, in Sperry, Oklahoma, to Ora Boone and Eula Frances (Brown) Dale. She attended grade school in Sperry, middle school in Okemah, and received her high school education in Manford, where she graduated from Manford High in 1945. She attended TU for a year, and OSU for 2 years, where she was active in sports, and is listed in the OSU Basketball Hall of Fame. After her children were grown, she attended Park College in Parkville, Missouri, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Lillian married John R. “Jack” Wallar on February 28, 1948. They resided in Tulsa for 4 years, where they had their children, and later made their home in Independence, MO. She moved back to Oklahoma in 2006. Lillian worked in sales selling fine jewelry, and later in real estate. Lillian was artistic and loved to paint. Lillian was a member of the R.L.D.S. / Community Of Christ Church.
Lillian was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, and by four brothers.
Lillian is survived by her three children: Jacqueline Blake of Neavitt, Maryland, Jill Wheeler of Huffman, Texas, and John Wallar of Mayflower, Arkansas- three sisters: El Nora Merchant of Jenks, Loretta Landis of Skiatook, and Fern Gale of Collinsville- four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the service will be the "Brand New Again" CD by Tommy Ray Williams, featuring "Midnight Cry." In addition, “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Holy Holy Holy" will be sung.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
