Funeral services for Leola Ferguson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Nunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Leola M. Ferguson, age 83, of Collinsville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Leola was born December 13, 1935 in Ozawkie, Kansas to Jess and Edith (Fletcher) Pearson. She grew up and received her education in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma. Leola married Sterling Juliuce Ferguson on June 1, 1950 in Wagoner, Oklahoma making their home in Collinsville. Leola was employed with Tulsa Public Schools where she was cafeteria manager from the late 1960’s until her retirement in 1999. Leola had also worked for Wonder Bread. Leola loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, working word search puzzles, was an avid Cubs Fab and O.U. Fan.

Leola was preceded in death her mother and father; Edith and Jess Pearson, husband; Sterling Ferguson, one son; Donald Ferguson and by three sisters.

Leola is survived by her four children; Jo Lowe, Julia Blankenship, Teresa Robbins and Barbara Forbes, three sisters; Emma Darris, Linda Pearson and Mary Tiffany, one brother; Jesse Pearson, twenty six grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Leola M. Ferguson entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
