Private services for Latha Inez Burdette were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Ramona Cemetery. Interment followed in the Ramona Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Latha Inez Burdette, age 87, of Skiatook, died at 6:34 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at her Skiatook residence.

Latha was born September 27, 1927 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Ross and Minnie (Billups) Morgan. Latha grew up and received her education in Skiatook. Latha married Arthur LeRoy “Art” Burdette on June 17, 1944 in Skiatook. Art worked on the pipelines so Latha and Art made their home in over thirty states but always considered Skiatook their home. Latha liked to Sew and cook. Latha was a member of the Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church.

Latha was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Art, two sisters and five brothers.

Latha is survived by her four children; Art Burdette Jr. and wife Debi of Renton, Washington, Goldie Williamson and husband Robert of Grand Lake, Nylene Wiese of the home and Jeff Burdette and wife Pam of Skiatook, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-  great grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
