Kevin DeWayne Bennett Sr, born on April 15, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Freddie Monroe and Donna Jean (Burnett) Bennett. He passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, and cherished memories.
Kevin grew up in Sperry, where he received his education and later married the love of his life, Gina Marie Maynard, on December 20, 1985. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home that served as a foundation for their family. Kevin dedicated many years of his life to his career as an electrician, working for various companies before owning and operating F&K Electric Company in Tulsa. His skill and dedication to his craft were evident in all that he accomplished.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Kevin had a profound passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing disc golf, all of which brought him great joy. His love for the outdoors was complemented by a fondness for grilling and working on automobiles. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and share memorable moments with family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina; his children, Alisa Nicholas-Monreal and her husband Michael, Kevin DeWayne Bennett Jr., and Angel Marie Bennett Clawson; his sister, Kimberlee Marie Bennett; twelve grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Donna Jean Bennett-Griffith, and his brother, Kenneth Bennett. Their spirits will continue to be honored by those who carry forward his love and the lessons he imparted throughout his life.
A funeral service will be held in his memory at Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel in Skiatook, Oklahoma, on April 4, 2025, beginning at 9:30 AM. Following the service, interment will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, Oklahoma, at 1:15 PM.
Kevin DeWayne Bennett will be remembered not only for his strong work ethic but also for his generous spirit and his unwavering commitment to family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
