Funeral services for Kay Lynn Stout will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Jonathan Stout DVM. and Jeremy Stout officiating. A private internment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Kay Lynn Stout, age 49, of Skiatook, went to be with her Lord at 3:35 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.
Kay was born in Tulsa, August 31, 1964 to Kenneth Ray Stout and Nancy E. (Hendryx) Stout. Kay was raised and schooled in Skiatook, graduating Skiatook High School in 1982. Upon graduating she went to work at Amoco Oil Company working as a lab technician in the core sample room, and at the same time she attended NSU working toward a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, graduating with honors. After being laid off at Amoco Oil Company, Kay went back to school to be a Radiology Technician and after receiving her degree, she went to work at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa in 2001. Where she was a faithful, dedicated employee until October this year when her cancer forced her to take a leave of absence. Kay had the heart of a servant, she loved her nieces and nephews, and Kay was a Beloved aunt, she was like a second mother to them. She tutored in many school subjects and attended their sports activities chauffeuring them to many of their activities. Kay loved to watch sports of all kinds especially if her nieces and nephews were participating. Kay will be sorely missed by all.
Kay is survived by her Mother; Nancy Thomas and spouse (Jerry),Twin Sister; Kendy McNaughton and spouse (Timothy) of Skiatook, sister Konny Wilkins of Skiatook, two brothers Jonathan Stout and spouse (Vanessa) of Skiatook, Jeremy Stout and spouse (Samantha) of Skiatook, nieces; Hanna Wilkins, Sarah Wilkins, Promise Stout, Morgan Stout, and Hope Stout, nephews; Crispen McNaughton, Caleb Wilkins, Joshua Wilkins, Josiah Stout, Ethan Stout, Ryder Stout, and Gabriel Stout, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Kay was preceded in Death by her Grandparents; Raymond and Edna Stout, Fred and Elva Hendryx, Father Kenneth Ray Stout , her brother in law Rev. Douglas Ray Wilkins and a nephew Mathias David Stout .
Caskets escorts for the services are Jeff Wooden, Mike Lee, Clay Cox, Mike McQuay, Scott Anderson and Pete Roberson.
Music for the services are “It Is Well With My Soul”, “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” both songs sung by Charles and Margaret Carver, “Though You Slay Me” and I Will Rise”
Funeral services and interment will be under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
