Kathleen Lucille (Tooley) Johnson
Funeral services for Kathleen L. Johnson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2015 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Heath Tucker of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Kathleen L. Johnson, age 94, of Skiatook, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Homestead in Owasso.
Kathleen was born January 27, 1921 in Sperry, Oklahoma to George William and Maude Alice (Reynolds) Tooley. Kathleen grew up and received her education in Sperry graduating from high school in 1939. Kathleen Lucille Tooley married Ernest Lee Johnson on October 1st 1939 in Skiatook. Kathleen and Lee moved to California in 1939. Lee entered into the United States Navy on April 5, 1944 and received his honorable discharge in 1946. Kathleen worked in a Nursery for several years taking care of children. Kathleen loved children so much she also worked in the nursery at church. In 1977 Lee and Kathleen moved back to Skiatook where they have made their home until two years ago when they moved to Owasso in assisted living at Homestead. Kathleen loved the Lord, sharing the word with people.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Lee Johnson, and nine brothers and sisters and by a grandaughter.
Kathleen is survived by her two sons: Roger Johnson and wife Cecilia “Sally” of Fullerton, CA and Jon “Mike Johnson and wife Sheryl of Edmonds, Washington, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, “Blessed Assurance” and “Beyond The Sunset”. Music for the services will be performed by Scott Neighbors.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
