Kara Lynette (Howerton) Beeler

Mass of Christian Burial for Kara Lynette Beeler will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Tulsa with Msgr. Gaalaas presiding. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Kara Lynette Beeler was born July 12, 1973 in Tulsa to Richard and Karen Howerton. As a young child, Kara, was very energetic and vivacious. When she wasn’t doing gymnastics, she was camping out at the lake. Kara loved boating, water skiing, fishing and four wheeling. If it was outside, she was involved. As she got older she discovered her love for roller skating. Kara spent many weekends competing in speed-skating competitions. She continued to skate throughout her life.
Kara graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in May of 1991 and married the love of her life, Wesley Beeler, the following August. Together they had three children, Breanna, Kelsie and Jacob. Kara attended college at TJC, earned her Associates degree in Applied Science and graduated from nursing school, as a RN, in 1997. Nursing was her passion. Her organized and meticulous behavior combined with her caring and compassionate personality made nursing the perfect career for her. The friends she made while working really meant a lot to her and she looked forward to the VO5 parties each month.
When she wasn’t working, she was at home spending time with her family. Kara treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, Bristol and Layton. She loved to attend Jacob’s sporting events, do crafts with the family and watch OU football on Sooner Saturdays with Wes. Kara also enjoyed gardening, watching old Disney movies with her girls and relaxing outside.
Kara’s love for life, family and friends was greater than ever imagined. She was an amazing mother and great friend to many. She touched so many people in her short time. It’s hard to imagine this world without her because of the great impact she had on it.
Kara is preceded in death by her three infant sisters, Heather, Brandi and Michele and her grandfather Bruce C. Williams. Kara is survived by her husband Wesley Beeler, daughter, Breanna and husband, Brandon Dowling, daughter, Kelsie Beeler and son, Jacob Beeler. Grandchildren, Bristol and Layton Dowling. Mother and father; Richard and Karen Howerton, grandmother ; Elizabeth Williams,  Mother and father in law, Audrey and Homer Beeler. And numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
