June Morgan Lewis, born on October 25, 1942, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Clifford Leroy and Mabel Fern (Hinshaw) Morgan, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, in Reno, Nevada. A revered figure among her family and friends, June's life was characterized by her steadfast dedication to her career, her adventurous spirit, and the deep love she shared with those closest to her.
June started her career as a legal secretary at Skelly, then Getty, then Texaco. Working her way to Manager, showcasing her leadership and commitment to fostering a positive work environment. Her educational roots lay in Skiatook, where she grew up and laid the foundation for a life brimming with rich experiences.
Throughout her life, June was not only a devoted wife to her husband Edward "Chip" Lewis but also a nurturing mother to her daughters, Marie and Ryann (Jon), and her son, Bryor (Debbie). She cherished her role as a grandmother to granddaughters Gabby (Cameron), Jade (Taylor), Brooke, and Ava, as well as to grandsons Tyler (Brenna), Bryor Jr., and Ethan. Her legacy is beautifully extended to her great-granddaughters, Noelle and Olivia, and great-grandson, Leeland, who will carry forward the values she instilled in them.
June's adventurous spirit led her to reside in seven states and three continents, including Brussels, Belgium; Quito, Ecuador; and Moscow, Russia. Her travels spanned 60 different countries, and she embraced each destination with enthusiasm. Notably, she served as a missionary in Belgium, dedicating herself to planting a church in Rockingham, NC. A small aircraft pilot, June's thrill for exploration knew no bounds.
In addition to her many accomplishments, June held a profound passion for tennis and pickleball, consistently seeking opportunities to engage in these sports. Her love for travel, coupled with her enjoyment of blackjack and trading stocks, showcased her zest for life and her keen interest in new experiences. Her greatest passion was for the Cross and she devoted herself to reaching people for Christ throughout her life.
As we celebrate June's remarkable life, we also remember those who preceded her in death; her daughter Leslie, her sisters Charlotte and Marsha, and her parents, Clifford and Fern Morgan, who await her in eternity.
She is mourned by her beloved husband, Edward "Chip" Lewis, her cherished children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her Morgan siblings, Delbert (Zalia), Renae (Larry), Eugene (Ronda), and Dwayne, alongside several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. June Morgan Lewis will be remembered not just for her many achievements, but also for her unwavering love and generosity towards those she held dear. Her spirit will undoubtedly continue to inspire all who knew her.
