Julia Ann “Julie” Wilson

Funeral services for Julie Wilson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Skiatook Free Will Baptist with Pastor Travis Barbee officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Julie Ann Wilson, age 64, of Skiatook passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Jane Phillips Medical center in Bartlesville.

Julie was born May 14, 1953 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Delbert E. and Mary Edwina (Gritts) Claxton. Julie grew up and received her education in Skiatook where she graduated in 1971. Julie also attended beauty school. Julie married James Arthur “Bud” Wilson on June 4, 1971 in Skiatook and made their home in the Skiatook area since that time. Julie had run a beauty shop in Avant, was employed with Mckissick where she was an Administrative Assistant, Osage casino where she worked the front desk of the Hotel and For Kevin Paslay Osage County for about a year before having a stroke. Julie liked spending time with her grandchildren, going to rodeos and feeding the cows with her husband.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents: Delbert and Mary Claxton.

Julie is survived by her husband Bud, two children: Jake Wilson and wife Candy and Eusty Barbee and husband Troy, two sisters: Debbie Perkins and Denise Howard, five grandchildren: Traci Fairless and husband Clancey, J.C. Wilson, Molly Wilson, Lilly Wilson and Hanna Belle Barbee, two great grandchildren: Aly and Eva Fairless several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the services will be: Pete Anderson, KaDah Ross, LoneElk Akers, George Bowman, Cody Rasberry and Jess Huddleston. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gale Huddleston, Waynie Wood, Spook Rasberry, Bill Rasberry, Paul Rasberry and Gene Cooper.

The family of Julie Wilson entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
