Funeral services for Joyce Marie Russell will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Robert “Bob” Snider, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage  Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Joyce Marie Russell, age 68, of Skiatook, died at 6:47 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Muskogee at the Eastar Medical Center.

Joyce was born December 2, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Joseph and Bessie Marie (Williams) Wear. Joyce received her education in and attended Sperry Schools. Joyce married Robert Eugene Russell on January 7, 1961 in Miami, Oklahoma and made their home in Skiatook. Joyce liked too crochet, going to the casino’s, watching TV and spending time with her grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Robert, daughters; Mildred and Judith Russell and by one sister; Donna Garner.

Joyce is survived by her children; Edward Eugene Russell of the home, Ladonna Thompson, Donny Maltby of Avant and adopted son; Joseph Maltby, two grandsons; Donnie Maltby and wife Angela of Muskogee, Robert Maltby and wife Kelly of the home, three great granddaughters, four great grand sons, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services; “I’ll Fly Away” Amazing Grace” “Why Me Lord”.

Casket escorts for the services are; Harold Goff, Allen Volavka, Robert Maltby, Donnie Maltby, Donnie Russell and Bryan Lambert.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
