Memorial services for Joshua Shane Norris will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Carter Stuckey, officiating. Private family interment will follow under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Joshua Shane Norris, age 25, of Avant, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Avant from injuries he sustained in a logging accident.

Josh was born April 4, 1991 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Renee Avina and Carl Travis Wilson Jr.. Josh grew up and received his education in Texas. Josh liked motor cycle and totaling cars, having a nickname “Zip tie”. Josh also liked to work on things by tearing them a part to see how it worked and putting it back together. Josh has worked dong handyman jobs and has worked for Kevin Landis for the past three years.

Josh is survived by his mother and stepfather: Renee Wilson and Kenneth Dewayne Kirtley Sr, his father: Carl Wilson, four brothers: Joseph Wilson, Cameron Wilson, Carl Wilson III and Kenneth Kirtley, four sisters: Chasity Norris, Lindsey Miller, Layla Wilson and Makinleigh Kirtley, girlfriend: Ashley Nicole Allred, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
