Josephine Lynne Cowlishaw
Funeral services for Josephine Lynne Cowlishaw will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Butler, officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Josephine Lynne Cowlishaw, age 79, of Edmond and former Skiatook resident died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Bradford Village in Edmond.
Jolynne was born January 3, 1935 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to SP and Nina (Kiergan) Thayer. She grew up and received her education in Skiatook graduating high school in 1953. Jolynne also had attended the University of Oklahoma. Jolynne married Milton Cowlishaw on December 9, 1960 in Skiatook making their home Tulsa, Skiatook and moved to Edmond in October of 2000. Jolynne was a homemaker of the home. Jolynne was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Skiatook and member of the First Baptist Church in Edmond. Jolynne liked gardening, scrapbooking, spending time with her grandchildren, reading and cross stitching.
Jolynne was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Jolynne is survived by her husband; Milton of the home, two children; Greg Cowlishaw and Karen Mctiernan, two brothers; Twin brother Donald Thayer and Clark Thayer, four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be; “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art”.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
