John Franklin Whitney
John Whitney, age 83, of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in Owasso, Oklahoma.
John was born March 8, 1939 in Pushmataha, Oklahoma to John Brawley and Mollie Elizabeth (Murr) Whitney. He grew up and received his education in Clayton, Oklahoma. After high school he served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962. John married Nita Ardry on April 30, 2011 in Skiatook, Oklahoma and  then they made their home in Skiatook. John was the owner and salesman for More Insulation in Tulsa. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting antique bottles and he was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.
John was preceded in death by his parents: John and Mollie and daughter: Allison Whitney.
John is survived by his wife: Nita, sister: Betty Louise Knox, several step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family of John Whitney entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Skiatook.
