John Walter Pippin Jr.

John Walter Pippin Jr., age 78, of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, August 29, 2024, in Tulsa.

John was born December 26, 1945, in Wagoner, Oklahoma to John Walter Pippin Sr. and Dorothy (Reed) Pippin. He grew up and received his education in Skiatook and graduated from Skiatook High School in 1964. After high school he joined the United States Navy and later went on to receive his associates degree at Oklahoma State University. On October 18, 1969, John married Peggy Luke and they made their home in Tulsa. He was an ultrasound technologist at Hillcrest Hospital. John enjoyed taking care of his plants, doing beadwork, watching Fox News, and he loved large chocolate malts from Braums.

John was preceded in death by his parents: John Pippin Sr. and Dorothy Pippin, wife: Peggy Pippin, granddaughter: Faith Pippin, and grandson: Nikki Lee Pippin.

John is survived by his children: Michael Pippin and wife Dawn Marie, Candace Lara and husband Edgar, sisters: Shirley Hutchinson, Janet Underwood and husband Bob, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of John Pippin Jr. entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
