Joe Thompson
Memorial services for Joe Thompson will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the A Glorious Church in Collinsville with Pastor Lee Morgan officiating. A private family Interment to follow under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Joe Thompson, age 80, of Skiatook, died at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at his Skiatook residence.
Joe was born February 16, 1935 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to William Munroe and Myrtle (Roberson) Thompson. Joe grew up and received his education in McAlester, Oklahoma. Joe married Pauline Terry on October 17, 1953 in McAlester and made their home in Skiatook most of their married life. Joe was employed with Braden Steel where he was a welder and retired in 1990. Joe liked fishing and wood carving. Joe was a member of A Glorious Fellowship Church in Collinsville for over 40 years.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother and father, five sister, six brothers, one grandson little Nathan Scarborough.
Joe is survived by his wife Pauline of the home, five children: Paula Welch, Brenda Thompson, Nathan Scarborough and wife Amie, Amber Thompson and husband Austin and Brittney Wylie and husband Justin, Joe’s twin sister: Josephine Amos, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: “The Masters Call” and “Mary Did You Know”.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
