Funeral services for Joe Razo will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Nielsen, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Joe Razo, age 68, of Tulsa, died at 7:47 p.m. Sunday April 28, 2013 in Coweta.
Joe was born August 26, 1944 in Hutchison, Kansas to Juan and Tranquilina (Marquez) Razo. Joe was the baby of his family, youngest of seven, three brothers: David, Antonio and John Jr. all of Hutchison, Kansas and three sisters: Ruth, Rachel and Sara all of Hutchison, Kansas. Joe graduated from Hutchison, Kansas High School with the class of 1962. Joe was Lead Custodian for Union Public Schools. Joe loved his crew, he was proud to work for Union Public Schools. Joe loved the Oklahoma Sooner’s. For decades before his job at Union, Joe was a baker. He started his baking career at Dillons in Hutchison, Kansas and continued at Bud’s Family Foods, Buy For Less, Marvins and Merrits Bakery in Tulsa. Over the last couple of years Joe enjoyed starting a family tradition of Sunday dinners. They would cook or Joe loved trying new restaurants. It was always fun to see what the next dinner would bring.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Juan and Tranquilina Razo, son: Mateo Joseph Ray Razo, sister: Ruth Razo Garcia and one granddaughter: Jolie Brooke Razo.
Joe is survived by his children: Marti Trotter and husband Steve, Jenni Razo, Lisa McGuire, Jeff Razo, Timothy Razo,Holly Minter and husband Randy, grandchildren: Nikoloas Razo, Cody McGuire, Jarrod Trotter, Jagger Razo, Tyler Razo, Makenzie Razo, Breanna Razo, Marissa Trotter, Natalee Saldivar, Mason Razo, Braxton Saldivar, Maddox Razo, Abner Minter and granddaughter expecting: Sadie Jo Minter, brothers: David, Antonio and John Jr. of Hutchiison, Kansas, sisters: Sara Vieyra, and Rachel Caudillo of Hutchison, Kansas and abundance of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Casket escorts for the services are: Cody McGuire, Jagger Razo, Tyler Razo, Bobby Caine, Ronnie Caudillo and Danny Garcia. Honorary casket escorts are: Mason Razo, Maddox Razo, Braxton Saldivar and Abner Minter.
