Funeral services for Jimmy Wayne Martin Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Christ Church of Owasso with Pastor Dale Jones, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery.

Jimmy Wayne Martin Sr., age 64, of Skiatook, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at his Skiatook residence.

Jimmy was born September 10, 1948 in Tulsa to Guy Wayne and Ruby Velree (Wells) Martin. Jimmy grew up and received his education in Tulsa, graduating from McClain High School in 1967. Jimmy married his high school sweet heart that he had known since 1966 Patricia May Dorman on June 8, 1968 in Tulsa making their home in Skiatook since that time. Jimmy was employed with John Zink on October 12, 1973 and retired on October 12, 2012 where he was a line worker. Jimmy liked to go fishing and spending time with his granddaughter Kimberly.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Jimmy is survived by his wife; Patricia of the home, two children; Jimmy Wayne Martin Jr. of Sperry and Lisa Gaddis and husband Robert of Owasso, one granddaughter; Kimberly Gaddis also of Owasso, one sister; Pamela Faulkenberry of Bixby, niece Tonya and a host of other relatives and friends.

Casket escorts for the services are: Robert Gaddis, Harve Dorman, Jimmy Martin Jr., Travis Ryder and Marcuse Littlefield.

Music for the services: “Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone”, “Daddy’s Hands” and “Remember When”.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
