Jewel Daulin Oxford
Funeral services for Jewel Daulin Oxford will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Nielsen, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Jewel Daulin Oxford, age 68, of Tulsa, left this earth at 4:57 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the O.S.U. Medical Center in Tulsa.
Jewel was born December 17, 1945 in Augusta, Georgia to Nora Lee (McCormick) and Fred Johnson Sr.. Jewel grew up and received her education in Augusta. Jewel married Charles Henry Oxford on March 9, 1964 in Aiken, South Carolina and they made their home in Tulsa. Jewel was employed with the Tulsa Regional Medical Center where she worked in Housekeeping. Jewel liked spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, taking pictures of them and spending time with the family.
Jewel was preceded in death by her mother and father and husband.
Jewel is survived by her three sons; Broadus “Lane” Oxford, William Franklin Oxford and Virgil Ray Oxford, two sisters: Dorothy Hornsby and Brenda Sue James, two brothers; Fred Johnson Jr. and James Carlton Johnson, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be; “Amazing Grace”, “You Are My Sunshine”, “I’ll Fly Away” and “On The Wings Of A Dove.
Casket escorts for the services will be; Randy Mendenhall, Zackery Mendenhall, Stevie Gehard, Billy Ray Ward III, Joseph Thornton and Vick Odom. Honorary caskets escorts will be; William Tyler Hughes and Ayden Skylar Jace Fore.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
