JEROME “JERRY” NORMAN MAGEE


Funeral services for Jerry Norman Magee will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Stratton, officiating. Interment followed in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Jerry Norman Magee, age 74, of Skiatook, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his Skiatook residence.

Jerry was born February 15, 1939 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Lawrence Norman and Beatrice Louise (Short) Magee. Jerry grew up and received his education in Barnsdall and Skiatook graduating in 1957, also attended OSU. He married Nell Delk on February 7, 1958 in Skiatook. Jerry was employed with Peevy Construction from 1973 retiring in 2009, where he was a Construction Superintendent. He had also been self-employed with Magee and Vance Construction. His hobbies were traveling and bird hunting.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife: Nell, half brother, two grandchildren: Kimberly Ann Hurley and Rosco Len Merchant, three great grandchildren: Isabella Denise Magee, Bailey Lynn McQuay and Slade Daniel McQuay.

Jerry is survived by his children: Jerry Magee and wife Shelley of Skiatook, Lawrence Milton Magee and wife Darla of Skiatook, Belinda and husband Karl Hurley of Tiff City, Missouri and Norman Ray Magee of Skiatook, sisters: Ada B. Dozier of Grove, Orma Jean Johnson of Newkirk, and Cathy Cardin of Yale, half brother: Lonnie Morris of Drumright, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Music for the service was: “How Great Thou Art” “Amazing Grace” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”.

Casket escorts for the service were: TJ Teel, Nick McQuay, Josh Lamb, Brandon Willis, Jerome Magee and Stephen Magee.
