Janice Marie (Barnes) Wood, age 77 of Sperry, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Tulsa.
Janice was born June 8, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James Rex and Margaret Louise (Bradley) Barnes. She grew up and received her education in Sperry and graduated from Sperry High School in 1964. She was employed as a data processor with Bank Of Oklahoma, until she retired in 2016. Janice was a member of Delaware Baptist Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and enjoyed playing cards and board games, cruises, and Saturday girl’s visits. She also loved holidays and spending time with her grandchildren.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents: James and Margaret, brother: James Rex Barnes II, and sister: Judy Gail Bowman.
Janice is survived by her children: Arlenna Anderson and husband Kelley, Kelly Wood and wife Janice, Michael Gail Wood and wife Melinda, sisters: Mary Francis Envoldsen, Heather Turnbill and husband Rick, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family of Janice Wood entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
