Visitation for Jana Thompson will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Ascension Church in Skiatook with Pastor Jerald Freeman and Angie Freeman Sanborn officiating.

Jana Thompson, age 54, of Skiatook, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Tulsa.

Jana was born August 17, 1965 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Joe Fred and Pamela Jan (Badgwell) Bruce. She grew up and received her education in Skiatook graduating in 1983. She then attended Tulsa Community College and Draughon School Of Business. She was a childcare worker and worked in the Ascension Church nursery. Jana enjoyed scrapbooking, shopping, going to garage sales, animals and volunteering. She was a part of the Skiatook Diabetes Support Group and Skiatook Revitalization.

Jana was preceded in death by her mother: Pamela.

Jana is survived by her son: Terrance Thompson, father: Joe Bruce, sisters: Justine Frederick and husband David, Sarah Watson and husband Roger, brother: Michael Bruce and wife Tracy, grandchildren: Layne Burdan, Coleman Blake, Emmarie Blake, Alyssa Blake, best friend: Tony Cunningham, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the service will be: “How Great Thou Art” and “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”.

Pallbearers for the service will be: Jerrod Greenleaf, Roger Watson, David Frederick, Austin Bruce, Adam Frederick, and Casey Stacy.

Honorary Pallbearer will be: Layne Burdan

The family of Jana Thompson entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Ward Wiseman Animal Haven 15628 N. 129th East Ave. Collinsville, OK 74021.
