James Franklin Williams
Visitation for James Williams will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Lee and Rev. Ernest Kellum officiating.
James Williams, age 86, of Collinsville, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2020 at Hillcrest in Tulsa.
James was born December 20, 1933 in Dawson, Oklahoma to J.C. and Oma (Payne) Williams. He grew up and received his education in Dawson. He married Bonnie (Landis) Williams on January 4, 1957 in Dawson and they were married 63 years. He started doing dirt work as a young boy and later was employed as a cattle hauler and rancher. After leaving the hauling business he was employed as a sheet metal mechanic with Crane Carrier Corporation in Tulsa and retired at age 62. After retirement he bought and sold barrels at the Collinsville Livestock Sale. He always claimed to have “barrels of fun”.
James was preceded in death by his mother and father: Oma and J.C., one brother and three sisters.
James is survived by his wife: Bonnie, three nieces, two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the service will be: “I Can Only Imagine”, “How Long Has It Been?”, and “Wings Of A Dove”.
Pallbearers for the service will be: John Williams Jr., Glenn Hamil, Joe Eschbach, Kenneth Landis, Billy Landis, Eddie Robinson and Travis Walker.
The family of James Williams entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
