James William Gates

James Gates, age 54, of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at his residence.

James was born April 4, 1967 in Denver, Colorado to Stephen Oliver and Linda Kaye (Tourney) Gates. He grew up and received his education in Green Mountain and Lakewood, Colorado. After high school he attended some college classes and enlisted in the Navy. James married Lamyong Jaroenroop on November 4, 2019 in Lakewood, Colorado and they made their home in Skiatook. James worked in telecommunications for Lumen. James enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on cars, he was an amateur ham radio operator and he loved woodworking.

James was preceded in death by his father: Steve Gates.

James is survived by his wife: Lamyong Gates, children: Zach Tuck and Alexis Hayworth, mother: Linda Gates, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of James Gates entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Skiatook.
