Funeral services for Jackie Ray Teel will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Osage oaks Church Of God with David Jobe and Ricky Harvey, officiating. Interment will follow in the Rest haven Cemetery in Sperry.

Jackie Ray Teel Sr., age 67, of Sperry, died at 10:17 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at his Sperry residence.

Jackie was born March 28, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Joseph and Cora Ellen (True) Teel. Jackie grew up and received his education in Sperry graduating from high school in 1967. Jackie married Mary Elizabeth Pollock on April 16, 1969 in Pawhuska and they made their home in Sperry since that time. Jackie was employed with Georgia Pacific in 1969 and retired in 1991. Jackie was a farmer most of his life. Jackie enjoyed farming, fishing and spending time with his family and his grandchildren.

Jackie was preceded in death by his mother and father, two brothers; John Teel and Richard Teel and by one sister; Jo Ellen Teel and one great nephew Tad Harvey.

Jackie is survived by his wife; Mary of the home, three children; Michael Ray Teel, Jimmy Lewis Teel and Jackie Ray Teel Jr. and wife Sandra all of Sperry, two brothers; Thomas L. Teel of Sperry and Donald Teel of Kansas City, two sisters; Betty Pollock and his twin sister Janice Harvey, two grandchildren; Justin Michael Teel and Kelsi Teel and special caregiver Angela Teel several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Casket escorts for the services are; Justin Teel, Tanner Tiblow, Cole Carr, Greg “Homer” Herman, Lone Elk Akers, J.W. Teel, Dillon Parker and Ronnie Harvey. Honorary casket escorts are; Mike Sisk, Bill Pollock, Ron Harvey, Tom Teel, Larry Teel, Tim Teel, Bill Teel and John Wayne Teel.

Music selections for the services will be; “Grandpa”, I’ll Wait For You” and “Daddy’s Hands”.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
