Jean was born December 4, 1925, in Round Mountain, Arkansas, to Dewey and Beulah Johnson. She moved to Skiatook with her parents and sister, Nadean, in 1932. Jean was a native of Skiatook and a long time resident of Tulsa until moving to Shreveport, La. in February, 2008, to be closer to family.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Wilbur C. Rodman; her parents, William Dewey and Beulah Johnson, and her sister, Nadean Fritz. She is survived by her two sons, Charles Gene Rodman and wife Lorna Null Rodman of Shreveport, La. and Thomas Mark Rodman and his partner, Paul Jepsen, Jr. of Houston, Tx; granddaughter, Jennifer Rodman DeFatta and husband, Dwayne DeFatta; and four great-grandchildren: Cooper, Addison, John Marshall and Frances DeFatta, all of Shreveport. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Eugene Fritz of Skiatook; and two nieces: Kathy Fritz Cupp and Teresa Fritz Mulkey.
Jean spent her life as a homemaker raising and caring for her family. She loved cooking and sewing and sharing these talents with those she loved. She was a charter and dedicated member of Ranch Acres Baptist Church in Tulsa. Above all, she loved her family, her friends and her neighbors as herself, and will be greatly missed.
