Hope Elizabeth Magnus
Memorial services for Hope Elizabeth Magnus will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Leonard and Michael Murrie, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Hope Elizabeth Magnus, age 70, of Avant, died at 7:49 a.m. Sunday May 1, 2016 at her Avant residence.
Hope was born February 9, 1946 in Walters, Oklahoma to Olen and Audrey (Phillips) Murrie. She grew up and received her education in Avant graduating with the Class of 1964. Hope married Lloyd Cole in Avant in 1964 where she had made her home. In 1993 she married Larry Magnus and he preceded her in death. In January 2016 she married Richard Aultz and they made their home in Avant. Hope was employed with the Census Department where she was a census taker since 1999. Hope was also employed with the Osage County Co-op. Hope liked taking care of her grandsons, and was active in church and singing at funerals and always helping others. Hope was a member of the Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church in Skiatook.
Hope was preceded in death by her mother and father and husband Larry.
Hope is survived by her son: Jason Cole and wife April, husband Richard, two brothers: J.A. Murrie and Ernie Murrie, one sister: Janette Kellogg, three grandchildren: James, Joseph and Andrew, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: “Where Could I Go But To The Lord”, “The Old Rugged Cross”, “In The Garden” and “The Prettiest Flowers”. Music for the services will be performed by Willie and Clarence Ashlock.
Cremation, Memorial Services and Interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funerall Home.
