Funeral services for Helen Margaret Kurczewski will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earleen Reedy , officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Helen Margaret Kurczewski, age 76, of Avant, died at 12:48 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at her Avant residence.

Helen was born December 11, 1939 in Camden, New Jersey to Raymond Thomas and Clara (Chamberlin) Rossell. She grew up and received her education in Camden, New Jersey. Helen married Stanley Joseph Kurczewski Jr. on January 7, 1959 in Elkton, Maryland making their home in Camden, New Jersey until moving to Avant in 1994 where she has continued to make her home since that time. Helen had been employed with Brunswick Bowling Ally where she was a waitress and Express Marine. Helen liked painting.

Helen was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Stanley, three brothers and one sister.

Helen is survived by her daughter: Donna Okerson and husband Don of Avant, three grandchildren: Shawn and Cindy Okerson, Colin and Brittnee Okerson and Blake and Breezy Okerson, four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Amazing Grace”, “How Great Thou Art”, “You Never Walk Alone” and Tears In Heaven”.

Casket escorts for the services will be: Nick Keeline, Jeremy Glasco, Josh Fridenberg, Dan Fridenberg, Blake Musgrove and John Keeline Jr.. Honorary casket escorts will be: George Okerson, Tyler Okerson, Scott Okerson, Riley Okerson and Jace Okerson.
