Helen Mae Carpenter
Funeral services for Helen Mae carpenter will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jesse Madaffarie, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Helen Mae Carpenter, age 91, of Skiatook, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her Skiatook residence.
Helen was born April 27, 1924 in Inola, Oklahoma to Alex and Myrtle (Mears) Walters. Helen grew up and received her education in Inola. Helen married Kenneth Gene Carpenter on March 4, 1950 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and they made their home in Indiana for fifty one years and moved back to Skiatook in 2000. Helen liked gardening, Church, reading, working puzzles and spoiling her grandchildren. Helen was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Skiatook.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, three brothers and two sisters.
Helen is survived by her children: Patricia Andrade and husband Jesse, Randy Carpenter and wife Emily, Jeffery Carpenter and Lisa Little and husband Sam, brothers: Clarence Walters, JB Walters and Bob Walters, sister: Dorothy Lewis, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Casket escorts for the services will be: Jeff Carpenter., Sam Little Jr., Sam Little the 5th, Randy Carpenter, Rick Berger and Jesse Andrade.
Music selections for the services will be: “I’ll Fly Away”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
