Hal David Gunckel

Visitation for Hal Gunckel will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Skiatook with Heath Tucker officiating.

Hal Gunckel, age 67, of Skiatook, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at his residence in Skiatook.

Hal was born December 30, 1952 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Bob and Virginia (Coppinger) Gunckel. He grew up and received his education in Muskogee graduating in 1971. He married Carol Britt on December 21, 1992 in Las Vegas and made their home in Tulsa before moving to Skiatook in 2006. Hal was in sales for Grigsby for the past 20 years and also worked for Carpet 1 and Tulsa Carpet Showcase. Hal enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering, and he was an avid OSU fan.

Hal was preceded in death by his mother and father: Virginia and Bob, brother: Robert Gunckel, sister-in-law: Denise Alexander and a nephew Douglas Dick.

Hal is survived by his wife: Carol, children: Cory Gunckel, Jennifer (Gunckel) Hollingshead, and John Dillard, brother: Richard Gunckel, his wife Peggy and their daughter: Staci Gunckel-Conder and Johnathan and their children Jacob, Grant, sister: Joan Cameron and husband Gary, brother-in-law: Jon Alexander, sister-in-law: Berta Mullis, niece: Tamara Sumner, nephews: Tim Mullis and Tommy Mullis,  seven grandchildren: Emry, Camden, Savannah, Tiffany, Tyler, Jaxxon, and Kylie, two great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Hal Gunckel entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
