Funeral services for Gladys Marie McIntyre will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Sperry with Rev. Andy Anquoe and Rev. Tom Branch, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Gladys Marie McIntyre, age 81, of Sperry, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013 at her rural Sperry residence.

Gladys was born August 12, 1931 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Annie Jech and Frank Jindra. Gladys grew up in Kingfisher where she received her education. Gladys married Bobby Charles McIntyre on August 2, 1963 in Tulsa where they made their home until moving to Sperry in 1973. Gladys was employed with an insurance company in Skiatook and Turley, owned and operated Bob’s Country Corner for twenty-five years and was the treasurer for Country Corner Fire Department. Gladys was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sperry.

Gladys was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, Bobby, four brothers and by one great grandson.

Gladys is survived by her six children; Yvonne Diebold and husband Gregg of Broken Arrow, Tom Branch and wife Sue of Tulsa, Cary McIntyre and wife Mary of Skiatook, Ron Branch and wife Sarah of New Orleans, Char Wilson and husband Doug of Skiatook and Jim McIntyre and wife Kathy also of Skiatook, one sister; Anna Mae Masters of Kingfisher, sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one on the way, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services: “Amazing Grace” and “I Will Rise”, performed by Don Cagle. Prelude and postlude was performed by; Shirley Williamson.

Casket escorts for the services: Chad Diebold, Daniel McIntyre, Michael Branch, Stephen Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Benjamin McIntyre, Tony Branch and Christopher Wilson.

A memorial has been established in the memory of Gladys to: Country Corner Fire Department 7301 West 113th Street North Sperry, OK 74073.
