Funeral services for Geraldine Ruth Bell will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Cooper and Rev. Bob Bell, officiating. Interment followed in the Ramona Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Geraldine Ruth Bell, age 91, of Skiatook and former Vera resident, died Sunday, September 22, 2013 at her Skiatook residence.

Geraldine was born May 15, 1922 in Brentwood, Arkansas to John and Louisa Rose (McCullough) Clifton. She grew up and received her education and completed it in Vera. Geraldine married Sam Bell in March of 1939 and they had made their home in Vera for over 53 years. Geraldine moved to Skiatook in 2003. Geraldine was a Postmaster at Vera retiring in the late 1980’s. Geraldine did studying trying to get schools more credits. Geraldine liked taking care of kids, sewing, reading and gardening.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, four brothers and by one sister.

Geraldine is survived by her four children; Bob Bell of Vera, Carolyn Cox of Salina, Kansas, Ray Bell of Ft. Myers, Florida and Marilyn Reed of Skiatook, one brother; Bob Clifton of Skiatook, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: The Lighthouse by Tony Bell.

Casket escorts for the services are: Jerry Reed, Leo Owens, Tony Bell, Rodney Bell, Luke Bell, Terry Reed, David Bell, Michael Bell and Rick Clifton.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral home.
