Funeral services for Gerald “Jerry “ Lee Sien Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Pentecostal Church Of God in Pryor with Brother Jr. Mullin, Pastor Gary Wilson and Randy Sien, officiating. Interment followed in the Graham Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home of Skiatook.

Gerald “Jerry” Lee Sien Sr., age 76 of Pryor died at 6:25 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his residence.

Jerry was born August 27, 1937 in Quincy, Illinois to Harold and Lelah Ethel (Eber) Sien. He grew up and  received his education in Quincy, Illinois, Kalamazoo, Michigan moved to Pryor in October of 1950 at the age of 12 and graduated from Pryor High School with the class of 1956. Jerry served in the United States Navy. Returned back to Pryor until moving to Quincy where he was employed with American Packing Corporation of America. Moved back to Pryor in 1959. Worked for Ed Hamilton at the service station, then worked for Stanley’s Home Furnishings, sub-contractor for Sherwin Williams where he layed carpet and tile then worked for Grand Valley Hospital in Maintenance Department, then worked for Whitaker State Chidrens Home in the maintenance, in 1980 Municipal Utility Board in Pryor and retired from there October 2002. All thru his life he was a carpet layer. Jerry served on the City Council in 1972 where he was appointed by Mayor Raymond Bewley, 1973 to 1974 president of the Pryor Jaycees, member of the Elks Lodge in Pryor for over 20 years,  he married Treva Mae (Wisdom) Taylor on May 15, 1976 in Spavinaw and have made their home in Pryor since that time. After his retirement Jerry has enjoyed working with his brother Ray Sien for the past several years. Jerry enjoyed working in his wood shop, carpeting, painting, building, spending time on the lake, fishing, hunting, working with the church on various different jobs and helping people who needed help.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother and dad Ethel and Harold Sien, two sisters: Joan Richards Gorman and Nelda Cagle, two brother-in-laws Joe Gorman and David Alvis, one great-granddaughter Madelyn Page Gulick.

Jerry is survived by his wife Treva Mae Sien of the home: four children: Tammy Ragsdale and husband Mickey of Pryor, Gerald “Jerry” Lee Sien Jr. and wife Kim of Pryor, Randy Sien and wife Cara of Skiatook and Darrel Taylor of the home, one brother: Ray Sien and wife Kay of Pryor, ten grandchildren: Dustie Marshall and husband Marcus of Pryor, Christina Sien Rademaker and husband Aaron of Bartlesville, Katie Thompson and husband Clint of Pryor, Kyle Sien and Tiffany of Tahlequah, Gerald “Jerry” Lee Sien III of Pryor, Kimberly Lule and husband Jaime of Pryor, Caitlin Blevins of Skiatook, Caley Blevins of Skiatook and Shelbi Vasquez and husband TJ of Texas and Justin Roberts and wife Dedee of Texas, eleven great grandchildren: Kyla Gomez of Bartlesville, Macie Marshall of Pryor, Emma Ragsdale of Pryor, Sadie Ragsdale of Pryor, Brinn Thompson of Pryor Junior “Peanut” Blevins of Skiatook, Tyrell Sien of Bartlesville, Kaden Lule of Pryor, Paizleigh Rademaker of Bartlesville, Jade Lule of Pryor, and Melissa Vasquez of Texas several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services was: Step Back Angels performed Beverly Vermillion, Step Into The Water a song that Jerry was baptized by in 2000 performed by Reba Wilson and I Can’t Even Walk Without Holding Your Hand performed by Wyatt Mullin.

Casket escorts for the services were: Gerald “Jerry” Lee Sien Jr., Randy Sien, Darrel Taylor, Mickey Ragsdale, Kyle Sien and Gerald “Jerry” Lee Sien III.

Honorary casket escorts: Ron Morris, Don Martin, Robbie Bradley, JR Morris, Willard Buchanon, and Mike Peters.

Funeral services and interment were under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
