George Roy Hancock

George Roy Hancock, age 82, of Turley went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, March 31, 2023 in Turley.

George was born August 9, 1940 in Bristow, Oklahoma to David Carl and Fronia Mae (Coffee) Hancock. George grew up and received his education in Tulsa graduating from central High School in 1959. George also attended Rogers State College in Claremore. George entered into the United States Army on August 28, 1959 and received his honorable discharge in 1965. George stayed with the United States Army  where he stayed in as reserve for 16 years. George was employed with Telex for 25 years where he was a Maintenance Supervisor and a Electrician Journeyman. George married Carolyn Elaine Oross on February 14, 1997. George loved woodworking and teaching his grandkids woodworking.

George was preceded in death by his parents; David and Fronia Hancock, Brothers; Leo Towell, Carl, Joe and Larry Hancock and stepson; Bill Utter.

George is survived by his wife; Carolyn Hancock, children; Raymond Hancock and wife Elena, Leroy Hancock, Tamara Bullard and husband LeRoy and Stephanie Hancock, Stepchildren, George Utter, Sallie Newton and Cari Fideline, 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of George Hancock entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
