Genevieve Donnelly
Funeral services for Genevieve Donnelly will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the Skiatook United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Whitley, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Genevieve Donnelly, age 93, of Skiatook, died at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Village Creek Rehab and Nursing Center in Lumberton, Texas.
Genevieve was born May 13, 1919 in Russell, Kansas to Sophia (Ruff) and Charles Oscar Wolfe Sr.. Genevieve grew up and received her education in Russell, Kansas graduating in 1937. Genevieve married Glenn Donnelly in 1936 in Newton, Kansas and they made their home in Kansas until moving to Skiatook in 1960. Genevieve was employed with Brunswick / Zebco where she was a retail distributor/Buyer. Genevieve and Glenn also worked eighteen years for the Corp. of Engineers at several different lakes. Genevieve liked to crochet, sew and cook. Genevieve was a member of the Skiatook United Methodist Church.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Glenn, one son, three sisters and by one grandson.
Genevieve is survived by her two daughters; Karen Kay Reed and husband Jerry of Ponca City, Judith Donnelly Scott of Lumberton, Texas, two sisters; Betty Bishop and husband John and Virginia Robinson and husband Melvin, one brother; Charles Oscar Wolfe Jr. and wife Esther. Eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services: “In The Arms Of An Angel”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace”.
Casket escorts for the services: James Scott, Paris Gill, David Baker, Donnie Jones, Joseph McDonald and Joseph Jones.
Funeral services and interment were are the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
