Gary Wayne Whitehead

Gary Whitehead, age 69, of Sand Springs, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 in Sand Springs.

Gary was born November 10, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles and Stella (Brown) Whitehead. He grew up and received his education in Tulsa where he graduated in 1969 from Hale High School . He married Sandra Gayle Craig on August 13, 1977 in Tulsa making their home Tulsa for 14 years and Sand Springs last 28 years. He was a meat cutter at his family’s slaughter house, he worked at Bud’s Grocery, and he worked at Mac’s Barbeque for over 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising beagles, and loved spending time with his son and grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother and father: Stella and Charles.

Gary is survived by his wife: Gayle, son: Gary Daniel Whitehead and wife Amanda, sister: Bonnie Cox, brother: Jim Whitehead, two grandchildren: Cody and Cooper Whitehead and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Gary Whitehead entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
