Gary E. Freeny Sr.

Gary Ellis Freeny Sr., age 69, of Bartlesville and former Skiatook resident went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Bartlesville.

Gary was born July 30, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Reeford and Alice (Starr) Freeny. Gary grew up and received his education in Oklahoma City where he attended the North West Classen High School. Gary married Janet Lea Johnson on March 12, 1971 in Oklahoma City making their home in Oklahoma City before moving to Skiatook in 1988. In 2020 they moved to Bartlesville where they have continued to make their home. Gary was self-employed where he was a ceramic tile setter. Gary loved his kids going to watch them play football, baseball, basketball and wrestling. Gary was a little league football and little league baseball coach.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother and father; Reeford and Alice Freeny, one son; Shawn Freeny and by one brother.

Gary is survived by his wife Janet of the home, three children; Kelsey Ann Schmidt, Gary Ellis Freeny Jr. and William Freeny, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Gary Ellis Freeny Sr. entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
