Skiatook

Freida Pearl Webb (Dean) was born on November 2, 1947 in Eureka Springs AR to Ira and Rhoda Dean. She was the youngest of eight children. Freida graduated from Eureka High School in 1965. Following graduation, she moved to Fayetteville, AR to work at Southwestern Electric Power and then moved to Tulsa in 1971 to work at a sister company, Public Service of Oklahoma where she worked in the tax department and property accounting. She retired from PSO in 2000 but kept in touch with many of her coworkers who she considered dear friends. Freida married the love of her life, Buddy Webb, in Tulsa, OK on February 4, 1972. During those years of marriage, she was happiest by his side as she helped in his horse training business as his head pooper scooper. She spent a lot of time traveling with Buddy from one horse track to another, and when they could get away from the horse track, they found themselves on the side of a creek bank fishing. Freida also loved listening to old county music and reading books, mainly biographies. She also was a crossword puzzle whiz and enjoyed watching trivia game shows. She spent many hours in front of the television watching football and was a huge Arkansas Razorback fan.

Freida was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1986; and her two brothers, Lawrence Dean and Fred Dean; and sisters, Maxine Stokes, Mary Alice Terry, and Clara Tomlinson, as well as her brother-in-law, Johnnie Barber.

She is survived by two sisters, Oleta Kimbrough of O’Fallon IL; Bea Roy and husband Jim of Fayetteville, AR; brothers-in-law, Joe Stokes, Bowling Green, KY; Randy Tomlinson and Jimmy Terry of Springdale, AR; sisters-in-law, Sue Barber of Skiatook, OK, and Wanda Munson of Rogers, AR. She is also survived by her daughter, Vicki and husband, Mike Coble of Bakersville, CA; two grandsons, Kyle Carter, and Allan Coble (wife Carley); four grandchildren (Kylee, Ryan, Hadley, River); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including niece Jacque Canady of Skiatook, and a special nephew, Ryan Canady, who called and checked on her every day. Freida also has close friends and neighbors who often helped her in her times of need. Freida Webb was a member of the Community Lighthouse Church under the pastorship of her nephew, the late Bill Taylor.
