Frederick Rountree Jr.
Fred Rountree age 93 of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, July 1, 2023 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Fred was born October 18, 1929 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Frederick Rountree Sr. and Irene (Simpson) Rountree. He grew up and received his education in Wild Horse, Oklahoma and graduated from High School in 1948.  After high school he attended college in Texas. Fred married Eleanor Eileen Black on December 26, 1948 and they made their home in Tulsa, South Coffeyville, and Skiatook. He was employed as a real estate broker, he managed a lumberyard, and he co-owned and operated Home Builders Supply and Home Enterprises in Skiatook. Fred was very involved with sports, retreats and took the boy scouts to Canada. He enjoyed working on the farm and loved spending time with his family.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents: Fred Sr. and Irene, wife: Eleanor, brothers: John Howard Rountree, Richard James “Dick” Rountree and sisters: Genevieve Rountree-McCullough and Francis Rountree-Bolin.
Fred is survived by his children: James Richard Rountree, Jerry Lynn Rountree, Darla Suann (Rountree) Grazdan, Dayna Ilene (Rountree) Forrester, 11 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren on the way that he was very excited about, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family of Frederick Rountree entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
