Franklin (Ray) Cox

Franklin Ray Cox of Skiatook, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 22, 2023. Ray was born in Bakersfield, California on July 16, 1955 to Marvin and Florence Cox. His family moved to Oklahoma in 1970 and he attended Haskell High School. In 1974 Ray met Brenda and soon married the love of his life. Together they made their home in Skiatook in 1980 to present time. Ray worked at John Zink and retired in June of 2017 after 37 years. Ray lived a simple life and loved the outdoors. Fishing for fun and in tournaments was his passion. He loved fishing with his brother James and nephews Jerome and Chris. Ray also enjoyed painting lures, some gardening, and loved his dogs and camping with his family.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Florence Cox of Council Hill, Oklahoma and one brother Thomas Cox of Tulsa.

Ray is survived by his wife Brenda of the home several brothers and sisters: Sam Cox and wife Anne of Muskogee, Oklahoma, David Cox and wife Connie of Coweta, Oklahoma, James Cox and wife Nora of Blackburn, Oklahoma, Patricia Victory and husband Doug of Terlton, Oklahoma, Carol Duvall of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Robert Cox and wife Gwynn of Claremore, Oklahoma, multiple nieces and nephews whom he loved and a host of other relatives and friends.
