Funeral services for Francis Henry bacon Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Taylor, officiating. Private family interment will be held under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Francis Henry Bacon Jr., age 70, of Skiatook, died at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Hillcrest Medical center in Tulsa.

Francis  was born September 30, 1944 in Theresa, New York to Theresa Dora Ward and Francis Henry Bacon Sr..He grew up and received his education in Philadelphia, NY graduating in 1962. He married Mary Jean Burnham on August 21, 1965 in Theresa, NY making their home in various places while serving in the United States Air Force from 1965 and received his honorable discharge in 1968. Francis was a mail carrier and retired after twenty five years of service. Francis also was a security guard for the Osage casino in Skiatook. Francis liked hunting and fishing, helping others and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Francis was a member of the NRA, VFW, past Post Commander of the American Legion and was also a member of the Lighthouse Community Church.

Francis was preceded in death by his mother and father,, wife Jean and by one sister.

Francis is survived by his children: Gordon Bacon of Skiatook, Randy Bacon of Skiatook and Amy Dawn Hutchcraft of Avant, one sister: Nellie Kelsey, three brothers: Freddie bacon, Doug Bacon and Harold Bacon, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Long Black Train”, “Grandpa”, “Address Change” and Daddy’s Hands”.

Funeral services and cremation are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
