Frances Marie Gage, age 78, of Skiatook died at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa.
Frances was born February 10, 1934, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Kirby William Lee and Velma Marie (Penrod) Hogue. Frances grew up and received her education in Tulsa, graduating from Tulsa Webster High School in 1952. Frances married William Bert Gage on November 1, 1952 in Tulsa where they made their home. Frances was employed with the Tulsa Public Schools in the mid 1960’s where she was a secretary. In 1972 they moved to Skiatook where they have made their home since that time. Frances was employed as a secretary with the Skiatook Public Schools in 1980 and retired in 1996. Frances enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts, bird watching, traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frances was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Skiatook where she served as an ordained Minister and High Priest.
Frances was preceded in death by her mother and father and one sister.
Frances is survived by her husband Bert of the home, three children; Randy Gage and wife Cathy of Temecula, CA, Denise Remington and husband Mike of Bartlesville, and Steve Gage and wife Jodi of Owasso, two sisters; Shirley Clevenger and husband Dennis of Midwest City, and Jackie Heim and husband Louis of Tulsa, three brothers; Kirby Hogue Jr. and wife Becky of Tulsa, Raymond Hogue and wife Ann of North Richland Hills, TX, and Vernon Hogue and wife Sandy of Skiatook, seven grandchildren; Chris Remington of Mustang, Jon Gage and wife Kitty of Scottsdale, AZ, Brent Remington of Bixby, Joshua Remington and wife Jamee of Skiatook, Denton Gage of Bartlesville, Jamie Gage of Broken Arrow, Jared Gage of Temecula, CA, four great grandchildren; Chloe Remington, Rachel Gage, Gracie Gage, and Ella Remington, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
