Funeral services for Flora Mae Anthony will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Barry Gott and Pastor Mark Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Flora Mae Anthony, age 80, of Avant, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

Flora Mae was born March 10, 1938 in Avant, Oklahoma  to Robert Lee and Alice Alma (Forbes) DeShazer. She grew up and received her education in Avant, Oklahoma graduating in 1956. Flora Mae married M.E. Jr. Anthony on May 18 1956 making their home in Avant. She was a hairdresser, homemaker, and preachers wife. She was active in Avant House Of Prayer where she played the organ. She enjoyed painting and cooking but family was of upmost importance to her.

Flora Mae was preceded in death by her mother and father, son: Chuck Miller.

Flora Mae is survived by her husband Jr. Anthony, children: Rick Anthony and wife Janell, Karen South and husband David, Kevin Anthony and wife Jeane, brother: Henry “Hank” DeShazer, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: God Walks The Dark Hill, and Go Rest High On That Mountain.

Pallbearers for the services will be: Heath Anthony, Corey Anthony, Drew Anthony, Vance Miller, Brian Miller, and Rob Miller. Honorary casket escorts: Jim Robertson, Rick Goodman, Bob Kellogg, J.A. Murrie, and Joe Goodin.

The family of Flora Mae Anthony entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
