Evert Berlin Hendrix, age 77, of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, October 8, 2022 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
Evert was born October 5, 1945 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Albert “Buster” and Rose (Farmer) Hendrix. Evert grew up and received his education in Preston, Oklahoma where he graduated high school in 1963. Evert also attended Central Bible College and Springfield Seminary College where he graduated with his Master’s Degree. Evert married Barbara Jean Chambers on August 22, 1964 in Collinsville. After many years of ministry, they moved to Skiatook in 2004. Evert proudly served his country while in the United States Army. Evert was a minister most his life with the Assembly of God Church. Evert liked hunting, fishing, traveling, playing his guitar but most of all he loved his family and his grandchildren.
Evert was preceded in death by his mother and father and by one brother; Melvin “Leroy” Hendrix.
Evert is survived by his wife Barbara of the home, children; Karen Barnes and EB Hendrix, brother; Jonny Hendrix, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family of Evert B. Hendrix entrusted the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home with his care and services.
