Evelyn Marie Cooper

Funeral services for Evelyn Marie Cooper will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry with Elder Charles Rowden presiding. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Evelyn was born September 19, 1932 in Sperry, Oklahoma to George Monroe and Leora E. (Day) Wadsworth. Evelyn grew up and received her education in Sperry where she graduated with the Class of 1951. Evelyn married RL Phillips in 1953 making their home in Sperry. In November of 1965 Evelyn married Odell Cooper making their home in Sperry. Evelyn was employed with the Town Of Sperry where she was Town Clerk for over 20 years. Evelyn liked hummingbirds, liked to mow and gardening. Evelyn enjoyed the Wednesday Night Gospel singing at the nursing home with the King Family never missing a night of enjoyment with them.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband RL Phillips, husband Odell Cooper and by 1 sister Rosalee Stanford.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Gayla Oomen, Gina Cooper and Geri Kirklin and husband Steve, 3 grandchildren: Jill Oomen, Brycen Kirklin and Ty Kirklin, two great grandchildren: Parker Day and Chloe Green, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Evelyn Cooper entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
