Ethel Elizabeth “Jane” (Coyne) DeShazer
Rosary for Jane DeShazer will be said at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Iheanacho presiding.
Mass of Christian Burial for Jane DeShazer will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Richard Cristler and Kenneth Iheanacho presiding. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Jane DeShazer, age 87, of Skiatook, died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Canoe Brook Assisted Living Center in Catoosa.
Jane DeShazer was born June 21, 1927 in Bluejacket, Oklahoma to John and Ethel (Clark) Coyne. She grew up and received her education in Barnsdall until 10th grade when they moved to Skiatook where she graduated in 1945. Jane married Lloyd Vernon DeShazer June 21, 1946 in Skiatook and they made their home in Skiatook, Tulsa, St. Louis and back to Skiatook. Jane was employed by Sky Chef/American Airlines as a waitress in the airport’s restaurant, and later was a caregiver. Jane was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Alter Society.
Jane was preceded in death by her mother and father; stepfather Lee Swisher; husband Lloyd; one brother, Jim Coyne; two sisters, Agnes Coyne and Bridget Luper, and by two infant siblings.
Jane is survived by her four children: Mark DeShazer and wife Janet of Exeter, MO, Mariann DeShazer of Skiatook, Bridget Fielder and husband Todd of Ames, OK and Leslie LeMaster and husband Larry of Skiatook, six grandchildren: Mark A. DeShazer, Wade DeShazer, Zack Fielder, Jesse LeMaster, Sarah Jane DeShazer and Conner LeMaster; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
